Sul confine l’uomo incontra se stesso e si accorge dell’altro. Passando diversi giorni con loro, sono uscite una serie di immagini in cui le azioni, gli oggetti, le storie personali, la ritualità, hanno svelato il tema del mio lavoro: il confine come condizione esistenziale (non solo fisica, ma metafisica). "Sul confine entriamo in sintonia con noi stessi, il nostro vissuto la nostra identità… costruiamo la forza che ci aiuterà a superarlo. Sul confine si rimane sospesi tra ricordo e desiderio, ci si “spoglia” delle sovrastrutture, si esce dai ruoli… si incontra se stessi.” Il tema dei migranti è secondario al tema principale, è solo un pretesto per parlare del confine come spazio di transizione. La fotografia vorrebbe ritrarre la sospensione, l’attesa (l'ambientazione sembra quasi da "Deserto dei Tartari”). Il confine è uno “stato”, è il momemto tra un prima e un dopo; è la sensazione che travolge l’uomo nel momento in cui perde le sicurezze, si scopre e ri-scopre… è un un momento di “debolezza” che precede un coraggioso cambiamento. Di fatto credo che i migranti siano più forti di noi… l’uomo contemporaneo ha paura dell’insicurezza (del confine), della trasformazione, di rivedere i propri valori, di “spogliarsi” per immaginare cosa ci può essere in una umanità "oltre confine”. selvaggeAlpi Orobie Valtellinesi durante un soggiorno estivo in malga a 2000 m di quota. La scelta è stata determinata non tanto dall’intenzione del reportage fotografico, piuttosto dalla ricerca di un contesto in cui gli echi del passato risultassero poco contaminati dalla modernità. Qui l’autore ha potuto indagare sul significato di identità, su come si costruisce, sull’individuazione dell’insieme simbolico che caratterizza un determinato ambiente ( l’Heimat appunto ). La sua osservazione partecipante - poco interessata all’immagine stereotipata del paesaggio Alpino - si è preoccupata di cogliere il linguaggio empatico del contesto: la fotografia vista non solo come scatto ( risultato ), ma soprattutto come esperienza ( processo ). Ecco allora che diventano protagonisti la presenza delle montagne, la fisicità degli animali, l’ordine degli oggetti ricorrenti, i ritmi delle giornate e dei gesti ripetuti, la purezza dell’aria, la naturalità dei luoghi, le sfumature della luce. Secondo la visione del fotografo l’Heimat non è altro che un “luogo della mente” stimolato dall’interazione con il contesto reale. Così la montagna, e in generale la natura, diventano luoghi ideali e necessari dove l’uomo trova il tempo per ( ri )definire la propria identità e ( ri )scoprire il proprio Heimat.___Mostra Contexto -
